Single Mom status

Monday, I was faced with a choice: take kid A to her first softball practice or take kid B to her tball practice. This mom can’t be in two places at once and the struggle is real. A million thoughts go through your head:

  1. Will kid A be mad if I take kid B instead?
  2. Will kid B be mad if I take kid A instead?
  3. What if we just don’t go at all?

My husband works evenings and it’s difficult to split your time when three kids have four different places they need to be.

This mom job can be hard, but I have a God who gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers…after all, moms are soldiers.

Then it’s Wednesday night church and I’m the hunter and gatherer of the children. Making sure they’re clean, hands are washed, but today we decided to throw that all out the window because it’s so beautiful outside, I decided to take our kiddos to the park and get some energy out of them and enjoy the beauty of the fresh air.

Not to forget the two most important days that my husband has off.

We utilize this time for strict family time. It can be a struggle, but manageable when approached the right way.

How do you handle the crazy? The “run your kids everywhere” and be here at a certain time crazy?
